We serve as general counsel to our clients. In that role, we handle their the day-to-day legal issues as they arise. Like a traditional general counsel for a large corporation, our experience, along with our in-depth knowledge of our clients' businesses, allows us to serve as a key advisor and sounding board for strategic matters. We invite our clients to preview with us any issues (whether legal or non-legal) that arise from time to time. By doing so, we can resolve many legal issues cost-effectively "in-house" and, when required, help our clients effectively utilize outside expertise.

For our company clients, our business model enables us to remain actively involved so that we can help educate and assist their management teams on a wide range of matters. We serve as general counsel to our clients handling many of their day-to-day legal service needs and utilizing their outside counsel for issues requiring specialized expertise and resources.

We provide value and cost-effective advice to our venture capital clients by servicing their legal services needs where their legal fees are not reimbursed by their portfolio companies (e.g., non-lead investor investments and sales of portfolio companies) and where the specialized knowledge and expertise of their outside counsel is not required (e.g., fund formation and tax planning). These services relate to advice on both general corporate matters and transactional issues.
